[More]Hi! Im Lauren and I am the Loc Mama at Salontra Select Suites! I have been specializing in Sisterlocks, Microlocks, Traditional Locs & Color since 2013. I began my career at Hair Care Express Salon & Barber in Silver Spring, MD as a booth rent stylist. I moved to the Laurel area for business in 2014. Conveniently located at Salontra, I love helping men, women, and teenagers embrace the beauty of their locs.
As a loctician, I began my training at the Natural Hair Nstitute learning the theory and practice of natural hair and locs. I studied starting, maintaining, repairing, and styling locs. Also, I learned the basics of natural hair styling. In addition, I also took the Sisterlock course in 2014 and became a Certified Sisterlock Consultant in 2016.
Outside of being your favorite hairstylist, I love to travel anywhere and everywhere! One of my favorite places to travel is the Caribbean. I love the blue water, tropical views, and being on the beach! I also love to cook, outdoor festivals, hang out with my loving boyfriend, and reading good books!
